A hand grenade and the NIC of a powerful Tamil politician were recovered from a drain in Goods Shed, Vavuniya.
The grenade was recovered on a tip-off received by the Intelligence Service and the Special Task Force (STF) defused the grenade.
When questioned, the politician had stated that he was not involved in the incident and that it could have been an attempt to frame him. (Romesh Madushanka)

If politicians NIC was found with the grenade how did the NIC come there without the knowledge of the politician? It is, no doubt, the politician wants to frame himself!
