Chairman of the National Delimitation Committee on Demarcation of Wards for Local Authorities, Mahinda Deshapriya said that it is not appropriate for local government polls to be delayed and that the possibility of holding local government polls on April 25 are grim.
“As the term of office of local government bodies expires on Sunday (March 19), it is essential that polls are conducted as soon as possible,” he said.
He said that no matter what the situation, it is not appropriate for LG polls to be delayed beyond the stipulated time.
The Chairman said that It is not appropriate to run these local government bodies for a long time under the control of officials.
"I hope that these polls will be held at least within three to four months. It is good if the LG polld can be held April 25. But now it seems that it is difficult. Because even for postal voting, the Election Commison has not received the ballots from the Government Printing Department," he said. (DSB)

First and foremost you should be jailed as then election commissioner for not holding the LG election that was actually due in 2018 so asked the question about your failure as the commissioner then and you actually violated people's democratic rights

You are also partly responsible to this debacle. Root cause was accepting nomination from a foreigner for the top job in 2019 without seeking any clarification from the candidate when it he was publicly exposed as a foreigner

You lost your right to speak when you failed to check the validity of the presidential candidate's citizenship last time around, at the time of taking oath he was still a dual citizen and you gave a lame excuse for your incompetency.
