Tri-forces had been deployed to the Rambukkana area until final rites of the victim, who was killed during the shooting by Police, were held.
A protester identified as K.B. Chaminda Lakshan, a resident of Naranbedda, Hiriwadunna was shot dead in a clash when a protest turned violent in Rambukkana on Tuesday.
The Government Information Department said that the last rites of the deceased will be held today at Naranbedda.
The IGP has requested the Defence Secretary to assist the three Armed Forces in maintaining peace in the area until the last rites of the victim are held.
Accordingly, in accordance with the powers vested in the President, the Armed Forces have been summoned to maintain peace in the Dewalegama, Rokkana and Kegalle Police Areas in Kegalle District until April 23.
Meanwhile, IGP C.D. Wickramaratne has directed CID to conduct an impartial inquiry into the death of a person while using police force to disperse protesters in Rambukkana on April 19.
The IGP ordered the DIG in charge of the CID to submit a report in three days.
Meanwhile, IGP and several senior Police officers have been summoned for questioning by the Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka today over the Rambukkana incident.(Darshana Sanjeewa Balasuriya)
