42 arrested for staging protest outside Presidential Secretariat

A total of 42 persons including 16 women have been arrested for staging a protest infront of the Presidential Secretariat on charges of violating quarantine regulations and other offenses.

Police Spokesman SDIG Ajith Rohana said that the protesters would be produced in court on charges of wrongful restrain and illegal assembly.

The protest march was being orchestrated by teachers and principals over several demands.(DSB)

    We see violent attitude of protestors rather than peaceful protests.They have already stopped work and violent protests are twoway trade union actions which has to be dealt with.
