Police Chief N. K.Ilangakoon said today that the delay in solving the Kahawatte double-murder was due to lack of eyewitnesses. Addressing the media the IGP stated that the Police had to conduct investigations based on forensic evidence and this resulted in the delay in apprehending the suspects.
