Vaas Gunawardena transferred to Prisons hospital

Colombo North DIG Vaas Gunawardena who was arrested by the CID under over the murder of a businessman has been transferred from the Colombo National Hospital to the Prisons Hospital, Prisons Commissioner (Operations) G.B. Kulatunga said.

Commissioner Kulatunga speaking to Daily Mirror said the DIG Vaas was transferred to the Prisons Hospital last evening.

Gunawardena was admitted to the Colombo National Hospital on 13 June.

Gunawardena is due to be produced before Magistrate Courts on June 25. (LP)
