UNP probe on Abeysekera

The United National Party (UNP) has initiated disciplinary inquiry on Shantha Abeysekera over his involvement over the assault on UNP Puttalam District Member of Parliament elect Range Bandara, UNP Deputy Leader Karu Jayasuriya told Daily Mirror online.

Meanwhile the family of Bandara said that he will undergo two more operations at the Colombo National hospital next week for the injuries he sustained during the assault which included injuries to the head, arm and legs.

Palitha Range Bandara, who contested at the 2010 General Elections, was assaulted in Chilaw last Saturday and was admitted to hospital. Five people including UNP member Shantha Abeysekera were arrested over the incident. (Daily Mirror online)

Ranil should take strong disciplinary action against the wrong doers. Ranil should now build a strong team of, honest, intellectual, and men of integrity. Even if he is in the opposition he must show good governance and think of a strong team for the future. He has got rid of most of the rotten eggs he had - which is a blessing.
