A Singapore national was arrested at the Bandaranaike International Airport this morning when he was trying to flee to Singapore with Rs. 3 million worth foreign currency hidden in his laptop bag, customs officials said. (Deepa Adikari)

I cant understand the rules??? A foreigner cant carry 25000 US (3 million LKR) out of the country? Obviously he cant carry the money in his hands, he will have to put his money safely in one of his bags. Strange.....

what if he bought $ 30,000 and spent $ 5,000 and taking back the rest ?
