Seven-year-old child run over by bus

A seven-year-old schoolgirl Tushini Kavindya Sathsarani died on the spot when she was run-over by a bus after falling out of the trishaw driven by her father at Diddeniya on the Hanwella-Diddeniya main road today.

She was a resident of Baduwatta at Pahatgama in Hanwella.

The private bus driver was arrested by the Hanwella police pending further investigations. The body of the deceased was referred to the Padukka district hospital for the post-mortem examination. (Buddhika Kumarasiri)

for the sake of the god do not encourage private bus frivers and three wheelers by giving govt incentives etc

Although the private buses are a curse to pedestrians in this case the blame should first go to the father who did not make sure that the child can fall off the three wheeler!
