Motorcyclist killed in highway accident

A motorcyclist who entered the Katunayake expressway defying police warning died when his motorcycle collided with a car in Wattala, this morning, Police said. They said that a woman was injured due to the accident.

The victim, a 38-year-old man was a resident of Castle Street, Borella.

Meanwhile, ten people including the driver were injured when a van heading from Gampola to Matara crashed in to the safety fence in the Southern Expressway (E01) in Kalutara North last night, police said.

The injured, four men and six women were admitted to the Nagoda hospital.
