Landslide displaces 200

Around 200 people were displaced as a result of a landslide at Gale Kale in the Udu Dumbara police division this evening.  

Disaster Management Centre Spokesman Sarath Lal Kumara told Daily Mirror that the Kandy--Mahiyangana Road was blocked as a result of the landslide.

He said people in living in the vicinity had been evacuated as a safety measure. (YP)
