Import tax on Big Onions increased

Import tax on a kilo of Big Onions will be increased from Rs 35 to 50 by Rs.15 with immediate effect, Ministry of Co-operatives and Internal Trade said today

 

The tax increase is expected to control imports and increase the prices of local produce which is being harvested.
