Colombo and suburbs population has doubled in last 10 years. Apartments are building like mushrooms but no new Schools been built. This it is all driven by lack of planning and international school mafia. All what this do is marginalise middle class and creating a generation of missed opportunities. If there are no lands in Colombo and suburbs why government cannot invest in existing Schools and build more class rooms (I am sure old boy/girl unions will fund it). If an international School can be build using a 6 perch land I am sure leading Colombo Schools can double the capacity easily without affecting the quality.
