Four accused who stood indicted with murder were found guilty and sentenced to death by Kalutara High Court Judge Preethi Padman Surasena this morning.

The four accused, Paragoda Vithanage Piyasoma alias Tarzan, Paragoda Vithanage Janaka Piyawiri Vithana, Paragoda Vithanage Anurasiri and Paragoda Vithanage Piyakamal alias Luxman were residents of Mahagama in the Bulathsinghala Police area.

They were found guilty of hacking and stoning to death Galhena Kandage Lal Gunawardene of the same village on July 09, 2001. (Sunil Thanthriarachchi)
