A group of 10 security officials attached to opposition common candidate General Sarath Fonseka’s security contingent were handed over to the military a short while ago.

General Fonseka’s camp claimed the ten men were part of the security contingent given to the Presidential Candidate by the Elections Commissioner Dayananda Dissanayake and are not army deserters. (DS)

I believe the government has enough material to instigate an arrest of SF but they are wisely desisting it lest the usual motley crew barking "harassment", and counter-productive as the government will now trickle feed the charges and gain greater impact for far longer.
