Angelo Mathews and Lasith Malinga have been appointed the Captains of the National ODI Cricket team and T20 team respectively until March 2015, the SLC announced.

Lahiru Thirimanne has been appointed the Vice Captain of both ODI and T20 teams for that period.

Meanwhile, Angelo Mathews has also been appointed as the Captain of the National Test Team while Lahiru Thirimanne has been appointed as the Vice Captain of same until March 2015.
