Dr. Zalmai Rassoul the Minister of Foreign Affairs would visit Sri Lanka in near future, foreign ministry spokesman Janan Mosazai said.
Addressing a press conference yesterday, the spokesman added that Dr. Rassoul during his stay to Sri Lanka would hold meeting with Sri Lanka president, foreign minister for economy of that country to discuss the matters pertaining development assistance of that country to Afghanistan.
The foreign minister would also present lecture in the center for strategic studies of the foreign ministry, Sri Lanka.
In the press conference, Mosazai also added that the objectives of Afghan ambassadors and diplomats conference which held in ministry of foreign affairs was to institutionalize the tradition of holding such gathering and comprehensive debates on the strategic planning of foreign affairs ministry in the next three years.
Replaying a question, the spokesman stated that there is no accurate report about killing 13 Afghans by Iran’s security personnel.
To another query, Mosazai said that the issue of second round of talks on security agreement between US and Afghanistan was discussed at the national security council of Afghanistan on Friday.
He also added that president Hamid Karzai would kick off his tour to US in the second week of January and will hold talks with President Barack Obama to exchange views on matters pertaining mutual interests. (Bakhtar News)
