Youth stabbed to death over TikTok video

A 17-year old youth was stabbed to death at Madampitiya in Grandpass yesterday following a dispute over a Tik Tok video.

Police said the victim was traveling with two of his friends on the Madampitiya road towards the Henamulla Ran Diya Uyana apartment complex when they were followed by another group known by the deceased.

The suspects had fled the area after they stabbed the youth with a knife following a dispute over a Tik Tok video.

He died after being admitted to the Colombo National Hospital.

The deceased has been identified as a 17 year old resident of Wellampitiya.

The Grandpass Police are conducting further investigations to arrest the suspects. (Darshana Sanjeewa Balasuriya)
