Youth running to escape wasp attack falls to death from cliff
A 16-year-old youth who was running away to escape being attacked by wasps died after falling down a cliff in a forest in Nuwara Eliya.
Police said the victim who was among four persons who were attacked by wasps in a forest in Bambarakelewatta in Nuwara Eliya fell down the cliff while running to escape from being stung.
The police along with Nuwara Eliya Municipality Fire Department officers and local residents rushed to the scene following information and admitted the 16-year-old youth, a resident of Bambarakelewatta to the Nuwara Eliya Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
The Nuwara Eliya Police are conducting further investigations.(DSB)
