Writ petition for Karuna’s arrest dismissed

A writ petition filed seeking an order to arrest Vinayagamoorthy Muralitharan alias Karuna Amman over a statement he recently made, was dismissed by the Court of Appeal today.

The Court of Appeal observed that there is no legal basis to proceed with this application.

This petition was filed by Boseth Kalahepathirana, a resident of Kaduwela.

    The whole nation of Sri Lanka should be petitioning for this man's arrest, not just the families of the murdered soldiers!

    So constitution can be violated and you can say anything in the name of free speach. His admittance is enough to take him in on terrorism charges, instigation etc. Sad our justice system has failed us. All judges and lawyers are responsible for this
