Woman injured in shooting by brother-in-law in Akuressa

A 38-year-old man has been arrested for shooting at his sister-in-law at Dediyagala in Bangama, Akuressa last night.

Police said the 25-year-old woman had been injured following the shooting and was admitted to the Matara Hospital.

Investigations have revealed that the suspect had fired at the woman during a family dispute.

The Akuressa Police have arrested the suspect along with the firearm used for the shooting.
