COLOMBO (Daily Mirror) - In the wake of the court decision that suspended the operation of the gazette notification in respect of SLC's Interim Committee, its Chairman Arjuna Ranatunga said he will divulge the names behind the move in the near future.
ddressing the media, Ranatunga said he had not been officially informed of the court decision nor was he summoned before the court.

"However, I respect the verdict delivered by any court. I am not perplexed nor surprised with this decision as this was around the corner. Nevertheless, I am disappointed and sad that I might miss the timely opportunity to renew Sri Lanka's cricket," Arjuna said while adding that he suspected political backing behind the move.

Thus, he reiterated that he would reveal the names, with proper documents and proof, of those involved in the move to suspend the interim committee.

Arjuna is the only person who can save the Sri Lankan cricket, but Indians consider him as openly anti-Indian. Sri Lankan politicians and Policy makers don’t have the balls to go against the Indian interests thus Arjun would never be appointed to lead the rescue of Sri Lankan cricket.

Mr. R the cricket board and Sri Lamka cricket surely have more than a single person to take this forward. You are not the Saviour of the future of this great game and cannot guarantee to put it right. Furthermore, you stated you are going to work for no remuneration which is difficult to digest as the cricket board does not need charity. and can afford to pay for labor in any capacity.

The Gazette notification is flawed. If it was discussed in cabinet before publishing perhaps those defects may have been highlighted before proceeding ahead with it. The secrecy and haste of the minister shows his immaturity, which most likely is being exploited by crafty opportunists. The question is to whose agenda was he working. Merely saying that it was within my authority to do is not good enough.
