Western Province to announce three-wheeler fare revision this evening

Colombo, March 22 (Daily Mirror) - The Western Province Road Passenger Transport Authority will announce a revision of three-wheeler fares this evening, Authority Chairman Gamini Jayasinghe said.

Speaking to the media, he said that fuel prices, including petrol, have increased twice this month, with petrol rising by Rs. 105.

As a result, the Authority has received requests to consider raising three-wheeler fares. A meeting will be held via Zoom this evening to decide on the fare adjustment.

Jayasinghe added that the decision will aim to fairly compensate three-wheeler drivers while minimizing the financial burden on passengers.
