Former first lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa arrived at the PRECIFAC today to give a statement in connection with allegedly providing a house belonging to the National Housing Development Authority at less than the stipulated price to her media coordinating officer.

She was also summoned to appear before the PRECIFAC on January 25. However, Mrs. Rajapaksa’s legal representative had informed the Commission’s officials that she was unable to attend the commission that day.

It certainly is very sad to see a mother walking in, to be questioned like this. But then again questions have to be answered when required. May she get excused even if she was proved to have done something wrong. At the end of the day guys, shes a mother of three, and a lady. May she correct her self and follow the correct path in the future.

Yes it is sad to a mother in this situation. Now she is taken for questioning not about her sons, but about a wrong thing done by her personally. Regarding her sons, remember the story when a convict was been taken to be hanged, and the mother was crying, the convict said to the mother, "if you had corrected me when I was doing wrong things, this would not have happened to me". The same thing needs to be told to her by her sons now.
