Vaccination: People live in worst-hit areas will be given priority
The government will start the vaccination programme for the people living in Madinnagoda area of the Gothatuwa Health Division in Colombo tomorrow with Russia’s 'Sputnik V' vaccine, State Minister Channa Jayasumana said.
The State Minister said the jabs would be administered to people between the ages of 30 and 60.
The second dose will be given to the first dose recipients after 21 days. Russia will dispatch the next contingent of 185,000 vaccine vials later this month. (Kelum Bandara)
