VAT Bill: UPFA says won't support if proposals ignored
UPFA General Secretary Minister Mahinda Amaraweera said today that they will not support the proposed VAT amendments unless their proposals were accepted.
Addressing an event held in Sooriyawewa today, he said the objective of the UPFA was to minimise the tax burden imposed on the people. "If we can't do that, we won't support the amendments," he said.
