Upcountry train services resume

The disrupted train service between Ohiya and Idalgashinna railway stations has resumed, and train services are operating as usual, the Railways Department said.

They stated that train services between the two railway stations were disrupted this morning due to a landslide caused by the current weather conditions.

The disrupted railway line was cleared with the help of railway employees.

Accordingly, the delayed night mail trains scheduled to run between Colombo Fort and Badulla have now resumed operations.
