The construction of the Uma Oya project will be completed by the end of April and it will be connected to the national grid by June 2023, Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera said.

He said this during a meeting with the officials of Farab Construction Engineering Company at the ministry.

The Uma Oya project will add 120 MW of hydropower to the National Grid. (Chaturanga Pradeep Samarawickrama)
