Truth and Reconciliation Commission Bill to be presented to Parliament soon: Minister

Colombo, Oct. 9 (Daily Mirror) - A Bill to set up a Truth and Reconciliation Commission will be presented to Parliament soon, Minister of Foreign Affairs Vijitha Herath told Parliament today. 

He said new legislation in place of the Prevention of Terrorism Act (PTA) will also be introduced soon. 

"Sri Lanka's human rights issue has been already internationalised and has been made complicated by the time this government took over in 2024," the Minister added.
