Tree falls on bus in Kandy, one killed, 10 injured

Colombo, Nov. 6 (Daily Mirror) - A man was killed and ten others injured when a pine tree fell over a Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) bus plying from Kandy to Hewaheta at Halwatte this afternoon.

The deceased is a 57-year-old man.

The injured were admitted to the Galaha Hospital and several who are in critical condition were transferred to the Peradeniya Hospital.

I have previously written many time about hazardous materials or trees on our roads and railway track sides but no one care about it : it is a high time now to send our engineers to look into it
