Tight security deployed at tourist centres amid Middle East crisis
Colombo, March 4 (Daily Mirror) - Tourist arrival centres, including Israeli Chabad Centres across the country, have been placed under heightened security in view of the ongoing Middle East crisis, Cabinet Spokesman and Minister Nalinda Jayatissa said.
Addressing the media, the Minister stated that additional protection has been provided to ensure the safety of tourists arriving in the country.
He emphasized that the security measures were implemented based on assessed requirements and not by giving priority to any particular group, noting that the objective is to safeguard all visitors and maintain stability.
