Sun overhead at 12:11 p.m. today in Anuradhapura and several areas

Colombo, April 11 (Daily Mirror) - The sun will be directly overhead today (11) at around 12:11 p.m. in areas including Pomparippu, Anuradhapura, Mihintale, Galenbindunuwewa, Agbopura and Serunuwara, the Meteorology Department said.

Meanwhile, the department has forecast showers or thundershowers at several places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, North-Western, Southern and Uva provinces, as well as in the Anuradhapura District, Mannar District, Kandy District and Nuwara Eliya District after 2.00 p.m. today.

Mainly dry weather conditions will prevail in other parts of the country, while misty conditions may occur in some areas of the Central, Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces during the early morning hours.

The public has been advised to take necessary precautions against temporary strong winds and lightning associated with thundershowers.
