SriLankan Airlines flight turns back to Melbourne due to technical issue



Colombo, Feb 12 (Daily Mirror) - SriLankan Airlines said that that flight UL 605, en route from Melbourne to Colombo, safely returned to Melbourne Airport shortly after takeoff at 18:16hrs (Melbourne time) today, due to a technical issue.

All passengers onboard the flight disembarked safely following the return to the airport. A team of engineers is currently assessing the aircraft and providing necessary technical support to address the issue, the SriLankan said.

All passengers have been accommodated in hotels until the rescheduling of the flight for departure.
