Sri Lanka records 1.79M tourists in 2025 so far

Colombo, Oct. 14 (Daily Mirror) - The Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) announced that 1,788,235 tourists visited Sri Lanka in 2025 up to now, with 62,741 arrivals during the first 12 days of October 2025.

SLTDA highlighted that 38,475 tourists arrived from October 1 to 7, 2025, while 24,266 arrived from October 8 to 12, 2025.

Meanwhile, tourist arrivals from major source countries have increased, with India leading at 18,299 visitors, followed by China with 5,417, the United Kingdom at 4,874, Germany with 3,804, Australia at 2,954, and the United States with 1,558.
