Sri Lanka receives 100,000 RAT Kits from India



Sri Lanka has received a consignment of 100,000 Rapid Antigen Test Kits from India.

In a Twitter message, Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella said Sri Lanka is thankful to Indian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka Gopal Bagley for the timely help.

“The partnership of our friends is vital at times like this & I am profusely grateful on behalf of the Sri Lankans people for this gift,” he added.

State Minister Channa Jayasumana earlier said in Parliament that there was a shortage of RAT kits in the country, and therefore Sri Lanka is to receive a consignment of 400,000 RAT kits within the this week. (Sheain Fernandopulle)
