Special Dengue prevention drive rolled out across all schools

Colombo, June 16 (Daily Mirror) - The Ministry of Education has launched a special dengue control programme targeting all schools, preschools, and educational institutions across the country as part of the national effort to curb the spread of dengue.

In a circular issued to all provincial education authorities, the Ministry instructed institutions to identify and eliminate mosquito breeding sites based on several key risk factors.

The programme also calls for community-based clean-up campaigns and awareness initiatives to be carried out with the participation of students, teachers, parents, and local communities.
