Speaker warns MP Sujeewa Senasinghe

Speaker Jagath Wickramaratne in Parliament today warned Opposition MP Sujeewa Senasinghe that he will be compelled to remove him from the chambers.

The argument arose when MP Senasinghe called for a point of order after Minister Wasantha Samarasinghe made a remark on him. The Speaker refused to allow the MP to raise the point of order and thus the argument began.

"MP Senasinghe should learn to behave. I will be compelled to remove you from the chamber if you don't behave," the Speaker told the MP.

"The Minister clearly referred to me when he talked about a person who had written a book on the bond scam," MP Senasinghe shot back.

IT VERY CLEARLY SHOWS THAT THE SPEAKER IS NOT NUTRAL, HE IS UNDER OBLIGATION, ON SO MANY TIMES GOVERMENT MPS TOO WERE ARROGANT. OPPOSITION BETTER FORGET GOING TO PARLIMANT AND DO SOMETHING COMSTRUCTIVE, AND LET THE COUNTRY RUN, GOOD OR BAD AND AFTEER FIVE YEARS LET THE PEOPLE DICIDE

These former Ministers that were engaged in the bond scam think that they are still in power. It is time these people are arrested and taken to the court for aiding and abetting the bond scam, and then covering up after the scam was discovered. If they misbehave in the Parliament as if they are still high school teenagers or drunkan blaggards, then it is right for the Speaker to eject them or even bar them from attending the Parliament for 6-months or so. I just hope that at the next election voters will end this man's arrogant ways for good.

Sujeewa or the opposition accusing the speaker is questionable when Sujeewa's name was not mentioned by Wasantha. Sujeewa is a guy who is accused for receiving cheques written for Millions of Rupees and we the public want Sujeewa to explain the cheques
