Shooting in Tangalle kills couple

Colombo, Nov. 18 (Daily Mirror) - A 68-year-old man and his 59-year-old wife were shot dead in Tangalle this evening, in a brazen attack that has shocked residents of the coastal town.

Police said the shooting occurred around 6.55 p.m. in the Kapuhena Junction area of Unakuruwa, where the couple was gunned down by unidentified assailants. Both victims died on the spot.

Investigations are underway, while police are yet to determine the motive behind the killing.
