Why isn't the Traffice Police on duty to nab these buses? It needs to be mandatory, to have double punishment for drivers who drive passengers i.e. buses, taxis and three wheel drivers.

Number of accidents involving price and CTB buses have increased in recent times, purely because of the gross inefficient of the law enforcement. Buses. Three wheels and police and security forces are the most traffic rule violators.

A large number of vehicles do not stop for the red light on Galle Road. The lives of pedestrians is in danger. No action by the police. Most drivers horn at pedestrian crossings to ask the people to move.

I used to travel by bus (CTB/PVT) for work from Mattakkuliya to Dehiwala for 5 years during 2008-2012, never witnessed a single accident, I must say those days the drivers were very responsible of their designated job.

Most bus and tuk drivers are under the influence. Laws must be strengthened. If a decent driver slightly crosses a single line/double line, there are cops to notice and no action taken when ignorant drivers and riders break road rules.
