Selected sectors allowed to import, use fuel individually
Cabinet approval has been granted to issue licences to selected specific sectors that play key role in domestic economy to import and use fuel they require individually.
Therefore the Cabinet Ministers approved the proposal presented by the Minister of Energy to advise legal draftsman to draft bill to amend the Petroleum Products (Special Provisions) Act, No. 33 of 2002, making provisions to issue licence to properly identified parties.
