Second reading of budget passed
The second reading of the Budget-2019 presented by the United National Party (UNP) Government was passed with a majority of 43 votes in parliament a short while ago.
A total of 119 MPs voted in favour of the budget while 76 MPs including JVP MPs voted against it. The SLFP MPs abstained from voting.
