SYU protesters break into Presidential Secretariat

A group of protesters of the Socialist Youth Union (SYU) attached to the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) have forcibly entered the Presidential Secretariat a short while ago.

However, they were prevented by the STF from entering the Presidential Secretariat premises.

The SYU launched a protest march from Technical Junction to the Presidential Secretariat against selling of Trincomalee Oil Tank Farm and plans to sell Yugadanavi Power Plant.

Now if this situation goes out of control .. This government should blames itself . No one else . All politicians must do something now before it is too late . Both ruling and opposition parties must do something to cope this situation . It is very sad the country is going down day by day yet our leaders in Sri Lanka do nothing . Venerable Monks; priests; academics; politicians; civil servants; professionals and people have a great responsibility on this issue .. Protect the country now from this economic downturn
