Colombo, April 14 (Daily Mirror) - The Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) has recorded a revenue of over Rs. 600 million from April 9 to 13, marking a significant increase in earnings during the Sinhala and Tamil New Year travel period.
SLTB Chairman Sajeewa Kanagaratne said that the highest single-day income of Rs. 213 million was reported on April 11 under special New Year transport services.
He further said that return bus services from outstation areas to Colombo will commence tomorrow afternoon and continue until April 21, facilitating the post-holiday travel rush.
