SLAF pilots conduct crucial evacuation mission of UN members in Africa

Africa, May 27 (Daily Mirror) - Sri Lanka Air Force pilots, deployed in the Central African Republic as part of the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission (MINUSCA), executed a critical evacuation mission involving multiple UN personnel.

According to the Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF), Sri Aviation Bria in the Central African Republic was tasked with undertaking an early dawn Casualty Evacuation Mission (CASEVAC) on May 20.

The challenging CASEVAC operation was entrusted to the Mi-17 UNO 324P helicopter, operated by SLAF pilots.

Led by SLAF pilots, the mission aimed to evacuate three UN personnel who were involved in a vehicle accident in a remote area of the Rafai region.

This is really nothing special. Even the terrain was not difficult. If they were to rescue injured soldiers at the front under enemy fire, that would be a real achievement. But Sri Lankan soldiers would not be deployed for such an operation, as they are classified as cowards worldwide.

@Sokrates - Viewing comments made by you it should be listed under the category of Pessimists. Do you want all evacuations to be special at the front under enemy fire to appreciate what our Sri Lankans have done. In every evacuation there are personal risks and just blurting out some nonsense will never encourage but demotivate the good things done by others. You only spout untruths that our Sri Lankan soldiers are classified as cowards worldwide. Better see a psychiatrist and check whether the wires(exceptional) in your brain have crossed each other!!!!!!!!
