Registration of Persons Department halts all public services until further notice

Colombo, March 26 (Daily Mirror) - All public services at the Department of Registration of Persons will not be operational from tomorrow (27) until further notice, the Department announced today (26).

The decision comes after a sudden breakdown of the Department’s computer system at 1:30 p.m. this afternoon. The suspension affects all services, including the one-day service at the Head Office and all provincial offices.

The Department stated that services will resume once the system is fully restored and urged the public to await further updates.
