Colombo, April 18 (Daily Mirror) - A gazette notification on the proposed electricity sector reforms was published yesterday, the Power and Energy Ministry said.
Minister Kanchana Wijesekera said the Bill will be presented to Parliament in the next sitting week.
He also said the amendments suggested by the stakeholders in January have been drafted into the revised Bill.
Accordingly, the public will have two weeks from the day the Bill is presented to Parliament to challenge its legality before the Supreme Court.

All useless. This is not how you can get rid of corruption. Only a very radical measure can help here. Sale of the CEB to several reputable foreign companies and dismissal of half of the workforce and all management.
