Proposal to set up National Education Council to be presented to Cabinet soon: Deputy Minister

Colombo, Oct.11 (Daily Mirror) - A proposal to set up a National Education Council is to be presented to the Cabinet soon, Deputy Minister Mahinda Jayasinghe said today. 

Deputy Minister Jayasinghe who is the chairman of the Parliamentary Sub Committee to look into education reforms said the new council will be tasked with resolving issues faced by school principals, teachers, teacher advisory services providers, education administration officers and those in the vocational training sector.
