Just 2 Ministers and by a regular passenger flight, what an example. Imagine if Rajapakse was doing this trip, what would have been the team and the travel arrangement at cost to the public.

Leaders of previous governments used these trips as pleasure trips accompanied by their spouses on government account. We never see the spouses of ministers at any occasion as we used to see under previous regimes. This was what president promised when he was campaigning for the presidential contest. Its heartening to see that he is practicing what he has promised.

We believe that our President will be manage renegotiate the massive loans taken by Exim bank other entities. Interest rates are very high, and we know why those loans were taken for such higher rates.
