President arrives in Japan

Colombo, Sep.27 (Daily Mirror) - President Anura Kumara Dissanayake arrived at Kansai International Airport in Osaka this morning (27), commencing his official visit to Japan at the invitation of the Japanese government.

He was warmly received by Japan’s Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Akio Isomata, Sri Lanka’s Ambassador to Japan, Prof. Pivithuru Janak Kumarasinghe, and senior officials of the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

President Dissanayake will be in Japan from 27 to 30 September. Later today, he is scheduled to attend the “Expo 2025” Sri Lanka Day celebrations in Osaka as the Chief Guest.

The event is jointly organised by the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau and the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Japan.

During the visit, the President is expected to hold bilateral discussions with His Majesty Emperor Naruhito, Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba, and the Ministers of Defence, Foreign Affairs, and Economy, Trade and Industry.

He will also participate in the Sri Lanka Investment Forum in Tokyo, jointly organised by the Sri Lanka and Japan Chambers of Commerce.

The President is accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism, Vijitha Herath, along with a delegation of senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Recent ascension of the present president cannot be endured by the opposition party leaders. Actually they have been perturbed by the ascension of AKD during recent times. Therefore instead of praising the success of the president. Now they are in the process of disseminating the mud slinging propaganda against the president. However the majority of the people are standing with Mr AKD for the well being of the country

Whatever oppositions say about His excellency president and his government they are doing well and they have some challenges and problems but they are gradually getting on with all, you can’t repair the damage done for the 75 years within one year or two years in government please give them space and time and you will see how change take place and what kind of country they dream to make and you will see a true wonders of Asia not a fake one promised by some former leaders: these NPP people are here to work, to give not to take, to offer public services and not exploit them. What a lucky people are Sri Lanka to have such a president? Please wait and see please support and help him if you love this country
