Bus transportation will have to be limited given the situation in the country but it will not grind to halt, Minister of Transport Dilum Amunugama told Parliament today.
Responding to a question raised by MP Hesha Withanage, the Minister said.
The Minister assured that there is no move to stop transportation during the schools opening and closing times and during the offices opening and closing times.
Also he said a decision has been made to share fuel with the private buses only when SLTB deports have excess fuel.
MP Withnage said a situation has arisen where even opposition MPs are being booed by the people who are standing in fuel queues.“
It has become difficult for the MPs to obtain fuel for their vehicles. Even we are encountered with possible danger given the present situation,” he said. (Yohan Perera)
